Looking for a strategy to make the most of your bedroom space? Perhaps making a bunk bed is one way to do this. This is a regular issue when we rent a room with a limited budget. A similar issue arises as our family expands and we run out of room for our children.
What exactly is a bunk bed?
A bunk bed is a form of bed in which one-bed frame is placed on top of another, allowing two or more beds to occupy the same floor area. They are usually encountered on vessels, in the army, and in hostels, barracks, dormitories, child’s rooms, jails, and other similar settings.
Bunk beds are typically supported by four columns or frames, one at each corner. To access the top bed, a ladder or stairs are required, which are usually enclosed by a railing to keep the sleeper from falling out. Several configurations optionally have a privacy screen.
