DESIGNING A HOME

IT IS FAIRLY SIMPLE TO CREATE A DRAFT LAYOUT WITH SKETCHUP.

We can see the model house we desire right away. Simply begin with the most fundamental tools. Draw the required size, sketch floor plan by simply copying the line and eliminating the unnecessary boundary.

CREATING YOUR FIRST HOUSE MODEL

Once we’ve sketched the design, we can use push and pull to add height to the face. It will be converted from a two-dimensional to a three-dimensional form.

After completing the building height with push / pull, we proceed to create the openings for the home, doors, and windows.

Let’s bring our three-dimensional model to life by modeling the roof and modifying it to the size of our covered porch, assuming we have one.

Let’s make it even more lovely by adding a railing to the porch and building steps. We’re almost finished with the outside of our house, and it’s time to move on to the next phase. Let’s apply material finish to the roof, sidewalls, railing, column, window, and other sections of the home until we have meet the desired material finish.

We’re almost done, but in the meanwhile, start taking screenshots for our presentation, which will be printed or sent by email.

3D MODELING TIPS AND TRICKS

If our windows and doors have the same design and size, it would be preferred to simplify this component for alteration. You may modify one component and it will influence everything else. Let’s make our columns a component as well, so we can change them rapidly when they’re altered. If we created a component model, material application should be simple.
